How does AIRQUITY work?
Here are a three examples to illustrate how Airquity works?
Example 1 (Negative equity): Let's say homeowners, Jacob and Kelly, owe $175K on their mortgage. Due to a slow real estate market and declining home values in the area, Jacob & Kelly's home value dropped to $150K, and required $5k in repairs. They now have negative equity; in other words, they are overleveraged because they owe more than the home is worth. Due to an unfortunate health issue and resulting job loss for Jacob, they fell behind on payments and want to sell the home, but have no equity and cannot afford to pay the out-of-pocket expenses. Kelly finds an Airquity specialist, who creates equity out of thin air, and allows Jacob & Kelly to sell the home in one month and walk away with $5K in their pocket. They turned negative -$30K into +$5K -- that's $35K in equity, out of thin air.
Example 2 (Break-even equity): Let's say Raymond purchased a home for a fair market value of $200K. Less than 2 years later, the home value had increased to $205K while Raymond still owed $195K, and he was forced to sell the home and relocate due to job relocation. Since the he only had $10K in equity, and it will cost an estimated $18k and take 3-6 months to sell the property (real estate commission, closing costs, preparation, etc), Raymond would have to come up with $8K out-of-pocket to get the home sold, pay rent at his new location, and continue to pay the mortgage for the empty home until it sold.
